Dai Ishiguro's approach to matching clients and candidates to create the best possible employment situation for both. Dai started his US working career with WIN Advisory Group, so he brings a fresh approach and a new outlook to WIN's search consulting practice. Dai joined WIN Advisory Group as an intern while completing his bachelor's degree in business and he stayed on after graduation. He also has a bachelor's degree with a business major from Asahi University in Japan.
Sincerity is a key element in helping Dai to match potential candidates with open job opportunities. His genuine and natural desire to help people make a positive change in their careers, coupled with his close attention to both client and candidate needs are positive forces for what Dai believes is the foundation for all good job matches--the relationship.
In addition to paying attention to candidate and client requirements when reviewing job orders and assessing candidate credentials, Dai takes the time and makes the extra effort to build relationships with both client and candidate. His candidate and client relationships then form the base from which the client and candidate can build a connection that will result in a successful placement. Dai is bilingual and has significant experience working with both Japanese and American business people, which supports his relationship-building process.
Dai knows that not all job candidates have a positive regard for recruiters, and he works hard to make sure that he provides a positive experience for candidates. He advises candidates to take advantage of the information and knowledge search consultants can provide about potential employers. This is especially critical in working with WIN Advisory Group, where many candidates need more information on the cross-cultural aspects of working with Japanese companies operating in the United States.
When asked what advice Dai would give candidates, he replies, "We all spend a great deal of time and energy in our jobs. It is important that whatever our work, we enjoy spending time doing it. This may mean simply keeping a positive attitude toward whatever work you are currently doing."
Dai maintains a positive attitude toward his work, toward clients and toward job candidates. He truly enjoys touching each candidate's life and helping them find that job which could be the start of an important new career or a turning point in their lives.
